MPI Food Safety Science actively influenced New Zealand enteric zoonotic disease science initiatives by administering and participating in the Enteric Zoonotic Disease Research Steering Committee (EZDRSC).

The EZDRSC promoted, advanced and maintained an inventory of research being undertaken on enteric zoonotic disease in New Zealand. It also commissioned projects to provide better infrastructure for mainstream zoonotic disease research and epidemiological investigations. These include the National Typing Database and molecular typing.

You can find out more about the research associated with the National Typing Database and molecular typing in the Food science project reports section of the site
