New Zealand science steering groups

Find out about MPI’s contribution to science committees and some of the organisations MPI works with.

MPI Food Safety Science actively influences New Zealand food science initiatives by administering, or simply participating in, science steering and working groups.

One such group is the Enteric Zoonotic Disease Research Steering Committee (EZDRSC), which aims to promote and advance enteric zoonotic disease research in New Zealand. You can find out more about this and find links to relevant documents on the page, Enteric Zoonotic Disease Research Steering Committee in the left-hand menu.

The Food Safety Science Group works with a range of other science providers and funders including Beef & Lamb New Zealand, Environmental and Scientific Research (ESR), AgResearch, Plant & Food Research, Industrial Research Limited (IRL), the Ministry for Science and Innovation (previously the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology), universities, commercial laboratories and consultant scientists.
