Cancelling or Revoking a Certificate
An Eligibility Document (ED) or Export Certificate can only be Cancelled by a Consignor. It can be cancelled if it is has a Raised or Amended status. An Approved certificate can only be Revoked by a NZFSA Inspector.
In either case this kills the certificate completely and the ED cannot be used as the source for another ED. Only Cancel or Revoke a certificate if you are certain that it should never have been raised in the first place, eg the product cannot be certified at all, the shipment was cancelled or the status of the product has changed to make it ineligible for export. Note that a cancelled certificate can still be used to generate a batch file.
Do not Cancel an ED that has been amended after it had been approved - have the NZFSA Inspector Approve it and Revoke it instead.
If the certificate must be cancelled or revoked, please edit it to put a "P" in front of all "This product was sourced from" entries to prevent any problems with amending the source EDs.
To Cancel or Revoke a certificate, click on its number to view it, scroll down the certificate until you see the Verification and Status Change Panel at the bottom. In here you will see the current status, the option to change a Raised or Amended certificates status to Cancelled or the options to change an Approved certificates status to Request Amendment (ED only), Request Replacement (Export only) or Revoked (both) and a Reason box.

Enter a brief reason for the status change into the box and click the Submit button. If you attempt to submit the change without giving a reason, an error message will appear saying a reason must be given.
After you have submitted the status change, a confirmation message appears asking if you are sure you want to change the status to Cancelled or Revoked. Click OK only if you are sure you want to Cancel or Revoke the certificate as this action cannot be reversed.
Once an ED is Cancelled or Revoked the shoulder number cannot be re-used. The certificate remains on the database and the only change made to it is that the status is recorded as Cancelled or Revoked.
